iPhone aviation apps

Iím looking for an iPhone app for aviation weather including METAR, TAF, Notams, Sigwx charts etc to aid my sim training whilst saving towards my ppl.

Ideally free with no subscription but will consider if not too expensive. Any suggestions?

Thanks all. Iíll have a look at StationWX and WX Charts EU.

WX Charts EU is expensive and no trial version. Is it just Charts or does it give metar and taf?

I already own WeatherPro but no Sigwx Charts in there.

WingX is USA based and Iím in the U.K. - shame really as looked good but subscription was a bit high for a sim user

WX Charts is now £4.99. Itís a shame this doesnít provide metar and taf as if combined with the Charts may have been the ideal app.

I guess itís down to WeatherPro but no Charts or stationWX

For Meteo, Station WX is very cool and well done.
I use also (not only for met):

-MeteoEarth
-Vac&Aip
-Aeroweather Pro
-PToolBox ( lots of tool really handy)
-Flylogio ( Perfect Logbook with export function, really cool!)
-AirNavPro in case of "problems"

+1000 for Aeroweather.

Storm and AeroXWind are two others that are good apps that I use daily (although Storm does not have a pure aviation focus, it does the job).

Not an app, but skyvector.com gives you all of that.

Try Pilot Assist Pro:

www.pilotassistpro.com

It does a lot of that stuff.

PPL students still have to draw a line on a map don't they and use a Wiz wheel to calculate drift, required heading, ground speed and time?

Would your time not be better spent with a quarter and half mil chart, a scale rule, chinographs and protractor? This web site Allmetsat : Weather reports and forecasts - Satellite images - Climate normals will give you all the current Tafs and meters you like, a good PPL met book will enable you to decipher what they mean and understand what is going on in the atmosphere to cause those conditions on the ground.

These have been around for years, I used them when I was gaining my PPL and the three schools I instructed at all recommended them.
