A disgruntled distance learner!

Greetings folks, I am currently a distance learning student enrolled only last week at London Metropolitan University and would like to know your feedback on their establishment. At the moment I am extremely dis-appointed with them as they have failed to answer my calls, still awaiting for my progress test to be marked before I move on to my next chapter of my manual and have lost many times my documents and letters sent out to them. The instructions are poorly and un-professionally laid out which still keeps me guessing what I should do next. So far I have had an extremely bad experience of their service they have provided to me and sent them an email asking for a full refund!

I feel that they have wasted my time and effort and should of spent that extra and enrolled with a professional school who specialise in distance learning and don't give you the impression of feeling isolated.

I thought they went on 'Summer Holiday' this time of year, might be why you didn't get an answer.

RITZER82, it is currently the summer holiday period so don't be too surprised if you don't get replies to emails or calls! I am on the distance learning course at London Met as well and I can see why you are not happy, but remember that a distance learning course puts you in charge of your own learning. You are right that there are not perfectly clear instructions, so it is important to get in touch with the course leader to sort out any problems and get your questions answered.

As far as I am aware the progress tests are all online, where it gives you an instant response. It is easier (and I think most students do this) to read an entire book and then take all the progress tests afterwards.

I don't think there is a more expensive provider out there for DL, but if I were you I would wait until the new term starts in September and then call the course leader and get all your problems sorted out. I think you've just chosen a bad time to start.

Would anyone have an idea whether or not LMU would offer a full refund if i opt to drop out of their establishment I have currently paid the first installment and has been just over a week since enrollment.

Summer holiday? It is not school guys. I was at LMU from January to August, they did not break for the summer.

I had a great time there, so not sure what is going on?

I did the full time course last year they stopped for the whole of August.

Rookie mistake from the start. If you want distance learning, there's only one place to go BGS......If you want a full time ground school course then LMU becomes an option.
