Digs at Gatwick
Hey, I'm just wondering if any of you guys/gals can suggest any digs that you would recommend staying at for when i go to do my exams in may,,i know its a bit early but not wanting to be struggling for a place at the last min, as most of the venue's if not all apart from the gatwick venue giv you suggestions and im not familiar with the area not wanting to end up booking a place that takes ages to get to and from,
Any suggestions would be much appreciated,
Thanks HF2

Taking a car with you?
How many nights?
Budget?
Meals included?
Consider me old fashioned if you wish, but I just typed the two words "Gatwick Accommodation" into Google. Found hundreds.
A quick play with a decent street map programme should tell you the distances.

Loads of cheapish B&B's in Horley...5 mins along the A23 to Aviation House. A search via Google will show a few...
Ibis Hotel, on the A23, 5 mins to Aviation House...or Gatwick Manor/Premier Inn...also on A23, just before Ibis Hotel.

The car question was to be able to determine travel arrangements in Gatwick. I'd rather have a guest house 4 miles away on a bus route than 1 mile away on foot if I had those exams to do.
There is a (freebie?) bus from Horley to Battleship House, so may have been worth looking into.
There's some comfy airport hotels with a shuttle bus, too.
My last three questions are still valid. You've answered the first one.

I found the Travelodge quite reasonable.
£200 for the week including internet access and parking.
I ate at the CAA office every day, then bought sandwiches to eat back in the hotel.
really close to the head office.
All the hotels are really close together, so the IBIS, Premier Inn, and Travelodge would all give the same journey time to the office.

I stayed here for 32.5 £ per night (B&B)
Gatwick Bed and Breakfast
Frequent bus number 20 (every 20 mins) to CAA (bus stop - City Place. Ticket cost 1,5 £, journey time: 15 mins)
They have wi fi but the signal is very low so you might have to stay in the dining room to get it.
Some pubs at walking distance.
Plenty of others B&B on the same road.
cheers
