Cabair Integrated Course (2nd November 2007)

Hi,
Ive been offered a place to start training at cabair on the integrated course in a few months and would be very keen to hear from any cabair graduates on how much help they were given in finding a job after finishing their course. Also, who they are now working for and how many people in their class now have airline jobs or how many are flying instructers etc.
Im slightly concerned by the fact OAT seem to have a new deal with flybe since thats were the many cabair pilots seem to find their first job, so they may be taking more from OAT and less from cabair....
Ive read through the cabair thread but didnt really find any info on the questions asked. Trying to weigh up all the pros and cons since ill have to make a decision whether to accept the offer sometime in the next week.

Haven't got too much info for you, as i'm on the flying stage of the course, but a few months away from the job seeking/assistance part. All I can say is that BA/Ryanair/Flybe are the main target airlines that graduates seek out and are airlines where the college could potentially provide some assistance. In the past few months Ryanair/BA/BA Citiflyer and Flybe have all visited the college, so graduates could be of interest to them.
With BA very few graduates go to BA and with Flybe I have heard of students gaining interviews and jobs, although I know of no actual numbers. The common opinion is that you're chances of getting into BA, BMI and probably Excel are greater at Oxford, but outside of these three airlines you're chances of getting a job elsewhere is about the same wherever you go. Of the students gaining interviews at BA and Flybe, these have been through recommendations.
Maybe someone having completed the course or nearer the end could update you better.

Stay away from cabair as far as you can. Once they have your money. your their b**ch. People studying there are great. People running the place are a complete bunch of ******. My advice to any one thinking of joining cabair: there are other schools, that will respect you and give you a better education whilst you enjoy your time there. Dont forget this should be the best part of your career.
