JAR-FCL PPL Approved FTO's in South Africa
Hi all
I have just been through the .pdfs on the CAA.co.uk site looking for FTO's in ZA that are JAR-FCL compliant and there aren't any. ISTR that a while back there where a few who were compliant. Have all the memberships been revoked or are there some that are JAR compliant?
Basically I have about 45 hours under my belt and some JAA exams done. I need to complete ground school (they will mostly be done by the time I get there) my solo XC and skills test. I have the opportunity to return to ZA early next year for some weddings and the like so I was hoping to complete my JAA PPL there.
Anybody got any ideas? What would my best course of action be, other than staying in the UK to complete?
TIA and brgds
Pete

Can't think of anything practical except "complete here in the UK" and of course that is weather dependent.
You were correct - no JAA approvals at the moment in SA - in fact, only USA at the moment outside JAA land in the UK CAA list, despite some students thinking there might be an NZ route.
