I don't look like a pilot!
 

Ok here goes; I don't look like what people think a pilot should look like. I have long brown hair, and a motorbike, and look (so i'm told) like one of the extras from the film Top Gun.

Are the any other pilot-rebels like me out there or am i one of a kind????

What DOES a pilot look like?

Wish I knew what a pilot looked like. I have this card in my local shop offering trial helicopter lessons...gotta get some students somehow. Was discussing it with the woman who works there, and a young girl in the shop says to me: "Oh, is that you? You don't look like a helicopter pilot." Arghhhhhh.. Please tell me how to look like one.

The crew cut, the leather blouson jacket the aviator shades!
No! That just makes people think you're a bl**dy spotter.
No I guess I'll settle for the skinned knuckles, oily clothes and general casual air of the owner of a vintage aeroplane.:ok:

Everyone knows you don't need to look like a pilot... you'll just tell everyone you are. ;)

You could invest in some epaulettes...

...and say things like "I am the Captain of a PA28 Dammit" down your local

Everyone knows that a pilot should look like that geezer off of flightline on Discovery Wings - Raybans, USAF leather jacket, silk scarf, life jacket on - all while walking around Duxford:ooh:

If you don't look broke, you're probably not doing enough flying.

Apparently, women of the trolly dolly persuasion say you look like a pilot if:

that's the cool thing about being a wannabe bush pilot - small planes, big ????:)

Can't say I've ever met a pilot that looked like one... I mean, take a Gatbash. People look like many things (particularly as the evening drags on), but not pilots... :)
