Calling Garmin 295 users...

Just wondering, how do you have your default screen setup?

I use the HSI + 8 fields. The fields I use are...

Dis Next ..... Wpt Next

Bearing ..... Track

XTK ..... User Timer

Speed ..... ETE Next

And I have VNAV activated, but I don't really use it.

Garmin 295

We fly with the map in full screen mode and use the GPS in the panel to navigate. We have several 295 for student use.

Not really used it enough yet to form a view but so far HSI +8 seems good for x country trips and map view for local non planned enjoying the countryside type flying. Great tool if used as an add on to map and approved instruments. Can even work out where to get a Pizza if the engine quits!
