Tomorrows World

A good few years ago (long before I ever though learning to fly was a realistic goal), I saw an item on Tomorrows World on BBC. They were showing a "personal helecopter". It was basically something that you strap to your back. It had counter rotating rotars over your head, and two "handle bars" that came down, which you used to tilt the rotars to change the lift direction. It was powered by 4 very small motors.

Anyone know what I'm talking about? I am curious as to what ever became of it!

Thanks Potter1. The first one seems to be a development of the items I remember :)

In the 70's, my Action Man had a Rotor back pack, a personal helicopter with which he single-handedly defeated the Hun...and all before Magpie :D
