Are there any good online courses that would help me pass my ground school for PPL?
Also, I have been looking at books but there’s a few out there so would be great if there are any recommendations |
The Trevor Thom series worked for me 25 years ago and I believe they have been continually updated since and are now in 7 volumes.

The book 'Handling Light Aircraft' by Julien Evans (available in Kindle and paperback format) might be helpful to you Eti. It covers:
- Basic theory of flight - Technical description of the typical single-engined light aircraft (including VP propellers, retractable landing gear, EFIS instrumentation and FADEC engine controls) - Detailed theory of flight - Aircraft handling in day VMC conditions - Brief introduction to instrument flight - Emergency handling - The Flight Manual |
Send me a PM if you'd like a one to one chat about your options, if you're anywhere near London. No charge, no obligation and no hard sell.

The school I instruct at use Bristol Groundschool, but I hear very good things about EasyPPL and Quizaero also. There are three decent options to look at. G |
Has anybody used Quizaero? I've just had a look around their website, it looks quite interesting and easy to navigate. The price is around £60 - £80 cheaper than CATS and EasyPPL but then I think you only get 6 months access with Quizaero rather than 18 months with the others. Any thoughts on these would be much appreciated. (Unfortunately I can't use Bristol Groundschool as their package isnt compatible with Chromebooks).
