I am at the stage of wanting/needing to buy a set of headphones, according to the various catalogues there are all sorts of 'best sellers'.. What do you use, why and would you recommend it/them ? and Thanks everyone

Presumably you mean a headset?
There have been a number of recent similar threads. Search under 'headset' or 'David Clark' :)

Personally use DC H10-13.4 with gel ear seals, because they are the most comfortable for me, and have a very good reputation for quality and post-sales service.
