Fuel stains

Anyone got any tips for getting the blue dye stains off of new paint finish.

The drain sump tap on my PA28 was dripping, 100LL (with the blue dye) ended up on the wheel spat/faring - washed it off once I saw it but there are residual stains.

The worst part is on yellow stripes which now have green sections where the dye seems to have seeped into the yellow.

On the mainly white parts, I am thinking some white spirit or T-Cut may work but have had suggestions of use of tomato ketchup to remove it!

Any home known remedies or suggestions will be gratefully received.

I'd try ethyl or isopropyl alcohol first. I like a cleaning product called "Spray 9", but it may not be available in your region.

Wash your hands well after cleaning 100LL residue, the lead is toxic.

Polishing with toothpaste was successful in removing rust from whatever a DA40 is painted with...

Trouble is that paint may have fundamentally changed. Petroleum products have a habit of soaking right into the paint. Have had a similar problem with other paints.
