Declared Distances
 

Hi All,

I'm mid way through my PPL training and loving it, everything seems good and I'm even getting landings now where I have my eyes open.

But one aspect seems to leave my head in a complete spin, declared distances.

I'm looking to see if anyone is aware of any online resource that clearly defines and explains how each of them are inter connected.

Most of what I've been able to find has good explanations but seems to miss the bits that clear up the confusion, no definition of stopways, or clearways etc
I can find plenty of resource but reading it only seems to make my confusion that bit more complete. A search of PPrune has some answers, but they and most web content seem to answer a specific issue, I'm in need of something that defines and explains the whole subject.

There must be one article out there that is the silver bullet when it comes to this subject, help me PPrune, you're my only hope.

Thanks for this, maybe my "I can find plenty of resource" might have been a little ambiguous.

There is plenty that is easy to google, but all, including the pictures you link to don't really help. Yes they identify the areas, but don't explain what each means and how they relate to one another in an easy to understand, and pass exams, way.
