UK CAA and EASA licences
Hi folks,
I need to transfer into the UK national register my EASA PPL for practical reasons. I'm new to the UK legislation, therefore I'm not quite sure how the process could be. With this new integrated European legislation, I get the feeling everyone is a little bit confused on how to proceed, starting from the Public Offices. Anyway, is there any of you who can share his/her experience ? Thanks :) I'm not quite sure if this is a copy of some other posts similar on the theme, but I couldn't find any. Cheers, Etropi |
See How to obtain a UK EASA Licence if you hold a non-UK medical certificate/licence | Medical | Personal Licences and Training
Essentially - sort out transferring your medical and the rest falls into place. |
What a curious note in the CAA document:
PLEASE NOTE The UK CAA has been advised by the German Authority (LBA) that, due to German national law concerning Data Protection, the LBA are unable to facilitate the transfer of pilot medical records from Germany to other States. It is therefore not possible to proceed with transfers of State of Licence Issue from Germany (LBA) to the UK (UK CAA), or indeed any other state, as the whole certificatory medical record of pilots must be held by the state to which a licence is transferred. Please note that German pilots’ licences are fully valid in all EASA member states. |
Thanks !;)
