Flying in the US
I'm looking to fly in the states while I'm working there for the next few months. I hold a PPL with night rating and am looking to self-hire and build some hours while I'm over there.
From what I understand I don't need to apply for a full M1 visa as I am not undertaking flight training. Does anyone know which form I need to complete to be able to fly in the states. I think it may be form AC 8060-71 but am not 100% sure. Thanks in advance |
There's so much to tell...
Just use the search function. Look for FAA license, or piggyback. |
Airmen Certification - Verify the Authenticity of a Foreign License, Rating, or Medical Certification
Process is usually much quicker but it may take up to 60 days. You need the validation license followed by a Flight Review with a FAA certified instructor. This can usually be combined with the required check-out prior to rental. Thanks for this B2N2.
I've filed this already so will hopefully hear back shortly. As well as this I had to fill out a couple of forms for the CAA. Thanks for taking the time to reply! |
