Cherbourg - excellent
 

Just popped in there yesterday.

Super airport, super staff, great parking, very laid back. 10 euros landing+parking fee for a TB20. No apparent ILS charge.

The city is very nice too.

Pricey taxis into town centre - 27 euros each way which is similar to Deauville. Maybe there is other transport there; there isn't at Deauville.

Peter, just out of interest what was your routing there?

Been there for lunch several times. The patrons of the restaurant on the airport are very friendly and speak excellent English.
Another regular contributor on here is a very regular visitor..........

London Control don't let you fly it as filed though; they give you a route via DRAKE, to avoid cutting into D040.

Any idea how much was avgas was?

Yes, of course, otherwise one could not go there to/from the UK.

It is Customs PNR. I don't know how much notice they need.

Cherbourg is also popular with people who want to go to e.g. Jersey but forgot to file the Special Plod GAR 12hrs ahead ;)
