Pilot tests and quizzes

Hi,
I just started training for a private pilot license.
I found a book on Amazon.com called
"Airplane Trivia" which I found fascinating.
Can anyone recommend any other
test or quiz books for a beginner?
Thanks, Patsy.:)

PPL Confuser or PPL Perfector are great for exam questions amd answers. Personally i like the Oxford Aviation interactive CD ROMS, but you may prefer Books?

CATS Global Landing Page another great site to visit...

The more you study the theory, the more it will sink in. :)

When I was studying for my PPL a year or so ago, I found the www.airquiz.com site to be very good, and would recommend it.

Now I am studying for a IMC, I have again started using it, and in the last couple of weeks, started getting reasonable scores. However, I have also started studying the IMC Confuser, and I find there is a marked difference in the phrasing of questions between the two. Can someone who has taken the examination comment on the similarity of both to the actual exam ?

Another one for Airquiz - considering you get all the subjects for £20 vs. 30 for a single written resit, it's great value for money. Plus it's constantly updated (see News at the top). I remember several questions with out-of-date answers on the Trevor Thom books, airquiz had the correct data. The tricky ones also have an explanation with pictures/graphs etc.

On the down side the wording is completely different (intentionally?) from the CAA papers, so in response to BobD I would expect the same for the IMCR.

The "Exam Secrets Guides" have questions taken directly from the exam papers, no IMC book yet.

I bought the whole lot - money well spent :ok:
