Bremen (EDDW)
 

I'm planning an IFR flight to Bremen in May. Does anyone have any recommendations for well located good value hotels in the area. Any other advice for the flight and things to do in Bremen would be welcome.

I was through Bremen yesterday. The Atlantic hotel is right at the terminal, but priced accordingly. You can easily take the #6 tram downtown where there is ample choice in hotels.

Also consider flying up to Bremerhaven. Good hotels here too, and lots of things to see and do. This airport is scheduled to close, so see it while you can! A ride is necessary from Bremerhaven airport to the city though, as it's about a 3km trip.

Planning the same on Weds. this week. I have booked a cheap hotel nr the train station (Gasthof Hotel Bremen; 57 Euros / night with breakfast, but looks OK). Supposed to be a "10 minute tram ride" to the airport from there.
