Multi hire in the USA

Hi,
Does anyone have any recommendations for a suitable FTO in florida, that would hire a Twin at reasonable rates?

You might be lucky to find one. Most are used for training so not available and those that are usually require a huge number of hours for private rental.

Try place like Pelican Aviation at North Perry or the guys down at Pompano beach whose name evades me at the moment if in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area. Further north in the Orlando direction you could try Tailwheels at Winterhaven although if memory serves me right they may be restrictive.

No experience with this firm, but the website is

Air America, which advertises 3-BE76 for rent after a succesfull checkout.

Looking to do that myself, so would be interested in your exploits...

The fine print for Air America is that off-site fuel is only refunded at $2.59, so you'd effectively renting at about $250/hour, which still is not bad.

guys down at Pompano beach
I think bose-x is meaning American Flyers . They operate C310's, but I would doubt if you would be able to rent that solo for hour building.

Might I inquire why it has to be Florida ? (And not California, or Arizona, or Missouri)

Many thanks guys for your replies. I too am using the trip to build some Multi hours with some friends (all Multi rated). I have no real preference towards Florida, just looking to achieve decent flying weather.

My first flight instructor recommends plus one flyers in California. He always rents out complex high performance singles, but there are several multi's available, including a Duchess at $215 hobbs at KCRQ and two at KMYF for less than that. There is also a PA23-250 6-Seater at $250/hour at KMYF.

There is an upfront member joining fee of $99. They also charge a monthly fee, but I'm told that it is low...

Check out California as well

I'm up in the north but plenty of options at either end of the state. Eight airfields within 30 miles of San Francisco with twins for rent, mostly in the low-mid 200's/hr.
