PPl revalidation fee?
I need to send my revalidation form to the CAA with form SRG 1187.
What fee to I need to send? Can't find it on the awful CAA website - my licence is the old PPL (A) type. |
If your licence is of the 'old' UK PPL type, it is a lifetime licence and does not need to be re-issued.
If you are revalidating an SEP Class Rating included in your pilot licence, there is nothing to pay to the CAA. If you are renewing an SEP Class Rating included in your pilot licence, which expired less than 5 years ago, there is nothing to pay to the CAA. If you are renewing an SEP Class Rating included in your pilot licence, which expired more than 5 years ago, the rating renewal fee is £87. See http://www.caa.co.uk/docs/175/Person...harges2011.pdf |
I've got the old version - so I just sent the revalidation form to the CAA for their records and no fee. Thanks BEagle
Pity the CAA website is so difficult to find stuff on! |
In all honesty, the person who signed it, should have told you!
|
Indeed, what kind of examiner wouldn't tell people what to do with the SRG 1119 once they'd completed it.
|
Every examiner I have dealt with has sent the form to the CAA on my behalf.
(or so they told me...) |
Absolutely, I keep the SRG 1119 forms in my briefcase till I have several then send them all off together!
|
Me too, if I can I like to wait until someone's applying for a licence or rating, then stick an envelope full of 1119's in with it - "look after the pennies....":ok:
|
my examiners have always sent this form off to the CAA, whether for SEP, MEP, IMC etc.....
