I wonder if "zee fun police" posts on here are based on any sound technical knowledge. Before criticising others in the name of safety - because you "think" it may be dangerous, why dont you find out..

It does make me wonder.. such people get into positions of power, make stupid rules and ruin our freedoms... I think EASA may be recruiting if you are interested.... :ugh:

Did you know you can have fun without placing your passengers at undue risk....

Maybe one day we will read the AAIB report of someones similar attempt at fun, it's sad because its without need.

Personally if you cant see the risk and understand why it was an undue risk and the potential consequences, then maybe something was missing during your PPL instruction.

Its not about removing the fun out of flying, it's all about managing risk. Loose objects, deliberate 0g, can of coke flying around, dog floating in the cabin. All of those risks could have been managed by common sense and the pilot could have still had fun (and still let his passengers experience 0g)

When you think about it these typs of activities have been going almost since Oliver and Wilbur made flying popular.

It's only very recently that the technology has become available to put it in almost everyones pocket to record the event and then be able put it on public display via the internet.

I would suggest that these antics are not alway that smart but neither are they necessarily all that dangerous. Some people over react I think.

Its the big ends actually. Though I believe the cam lobes are the first bits to suffer during oil starvation due to the oil having such an easy route away from the friction surfaces.
