You could always say you had a bad case of carb ice
That was always going to my line :ok:

Ie be sensible and do it anyway
Indeed, thats what I ended up doing when yer'man wouldn't let me do them above a perfectly fine runway! :=

Said Farmer John would have to have some sort of indisputable photographic evidence before it would be a real problem.

I have some nice pics overhead my house that were taken from the ground with a 'special' lens.

Even photo's are not fool proof nor will they alone gaurantee a conviction.

Now that's just cheating! The biggest problem with glide approaches is setting yourself up to start the circuit from the right height & position. Doing it by the numbers from mid-downwind is too easy.

The hard part is surprising yourself with an 'engine failure' :O
In the absence of a nice big feild the circuit will do, certianly for flap timing (if any), we have one near the airfield for just this reason, i once tried a glide from 3 miles out to see if i could make it (carb heat on and warming the engine, which is a great cheat BTW for flight test)

Deploying flaps in a glide approach - just like the comment 'do i look fat in this dress' once its out there you can't reel it back in :O

I think that just may have been my very point?
