FAA IR
 
Hi anyone know whats involved in revalidating my FAA IR IN THE UK. ( I have a current FAA ATPL )

If you have a current FAA ATPL and have flown the 6/6 then your IR is current.

If you don't have the 6/6 then you will need an IPC. Jon Cooke at Ontrack will look after you in the Midlands.

If you are less than 12 months out of currency, then there is the option of doing the 6 approaches etc in VMC with a view limiting device and safety pilot.

The IPC with a CFII may be simpler and quicker. Simulators are also acceptable for the re-currency requirement and will save a bit on ATC fees.
