Come here and I'll show you !

FullWings 13th December 2010 09:23

Came from my early days on the 737 where at the first hint of less-than-perfect weather, Captains would ask for "full wings", even on a Paris shuttle! Also the best way to fly a glider - as heavy as you can get it... :E

Lightning Mate 13th December 2010 11:34

Mine's seemples.

OpenCirrus619 13th December 2010 14:06

When I joined I owned a Cirrus glider (commonly known as an Open Cirrus to distinguish it from the, later, Standard Cirrus) which had a competition (tail) number of 619.

I'm sure you remember it Mary - you towed me into the air on more than one occasion.

OC619

Sorry for thread drift - IO540, how DID you find that picture?! I'm sat here spending time I haven't got trying to locate it! (and give my humble opinion too!). Please put me out of my misery.

Deeday 13th December 2010 19:14

OK, let's nip the thread drift in the bud. The picture in question is here (in Jet Blast, of course).

And by the way, I do concur with IO540 ;)

Pom pom 13th December 2010 19:32

Thank you Deeday. Ditto.

PS I once lived in Oz, was a naval gunner, and like to cheer lead. Oh, and I love apples!

There are those who have done and those who will do.

My handle reminds me to delay that day when I do.

I only have one penis.

BackPacker 13th December 2010 20:47

how DID you find that picture?
I clicked on the username. A pop-up menu appears, one of the choices is to list the last few posts of that poster. Clicked on the one-but-last post, voila.

I say, no call for that sort of thing, old duck ... ;)

And as Mrs H_J has been known to remark, a big nail needs a big hammer ... :ok:

And as Mrs H_J has been known to remark, a big nail needs a big hammer
So what's her nickname then?

IO540 14th December 2010 09:03

Nowadays I would have thought H-A would be a female ;)

Hugh_Jarse 14th December 2010 09:46

Who, Attila the Hen ?

I just call her Sir ... :ouch:

tonker 14th December 2010 11:13

Tonker.

Because the school bully couldn't spell Tonka:rolleyes:

A square fat hard wearing vehicle. I wasn't on the wing of the school rugby team put it that way!:{

seymour beaver 15th December 2010 21:31

seymour beaver. Pretty obvious and i do!! Last year i had a guy working for me his real name was wan kin chan. Unfortuanately he was deported back to China after he "outstayed" his welcome.

kestrel539 16th December 2010 13:42

Same as OC619

IO540 16th December 2010 13:48

Seymour's one is hilarious. Is he a gynaecologist by any chance? :) :) :)

wan kin chan
That is brilliant but it could be worse. I am in electronics, and occassionally I read one of the trade rags. One of the contributors - a German - was a chap called Norbert W*nk (not kidding). Last I heard he emigrated to America...

Hannah222 16th December 2010 16:50

well Hannah as i'm Hannah and 2 is my lucky number so 3 2's is three times as lucky!! I'm sure theres someone on here called 'pilots of the caribbean' and that made me laugh. Everyone else seems to have really cool names but I've forgotten them now after reading the whole thread! x
