Tiger Club at Headcorn

Has anyone any experience of the Tiger Club at Headcorn?

I'm a member, though don't manage to get there nearly as often as I'd like.

Anything in particular you want to know?

http://www.tigerclub.co.uk/ is their web site.

WF.

Thanks for the reply WF. I've got my eye on their Supercub, with a view of getting into the Stampe at a later date.

While I've been based here in Luxembourg, I've hardly flown: and it's driving me nuts.

There's also a SuperCub at White Waltham, with the distinct possibility of moving on to a CAP 10B,if you wish, later on.
Contact West London Aero Club on 01628 823272
if their location is more convenient.

White Waltham has a fantastic reputation.

On the few occasions I'm in the UK, I'm located in the Docklands: So White Waltham is a bit inconvenient for me. Maybe later if or when I move back to the UK.

The thought of a CAP10B has me licking my chops, though. Yum.

Tricky,

Drop me a line then during the summer if you're going to be calling into Headcorn and if I can get there I'll take you for a local in a Tiger Moth.

WF.

p.s. my "home" club is also White Waltham, more than welcome for a ride there as well if you want.

Thanks all, I can hardly wait...

I've just been reading about the Supercub in an old AOPA magazine. I have to say that there seems to be an awful lot of gizmos compared to a J3 Cub. Flaps, fuel gauge, radio; They even have an electric starter.

These things could catch on...

I'm now a member of the Tiger Club.

I had a nice tour of the facilities; eyed the waterlogged runway through a haze of nostalgia; chatted to a few friendly folks; checked out the many, many toys in the hanger: then signed on the dotted line.

Very happy.

I'm just hoping that the runway will dry out this year...
