Newbloke
I have recently transfered from Redhill to Rochester (closed due to water logging on ly one day 2000) being elevated & on chalk should be ok. |
Thanks Ryarsh, The thing about a group is, we have seven members to satisfy and seven opinions on where and if we should move. I think in our case we havn't thought too much about it yet, if this year is as bad we may have to face up to it.

Last year was the pits.
A pitiful 20hrs and 15 mins. As most of the late summer was lost due to ADs and engine problems, but even so....twenty hours. I shudder to think waht my hourly costs were last year. |
121hrs 07mins
No wonder I'm skint |
86 hours and something, which was better than I thought, as I didn't think I'd been flying that much. Big chunk of it when converting onto a new type in the spring, then a dollop of 22 hours in August, then not much.

66 - best ever!

A gnats whotsit under 50. Not enough by far so off to the land of the free and home of the brave...
|
35.1 -this is DIRE!! I was regularly doing 50-80 p.a..........
On second thoughts, plane u/s April-July, on hols August, so about four months of the odd hired plane, so that's about 50 hours I SHOULD have done -back on target -phew! DOC [ 06 January 2002: Message edited by: DOC.400 ]
|
A dismal 30.5 ! My availability and weather suitability rarely seemed to match last year. It will all be different this year though........
|
36 hrs total for 2001. Passed Skills Test on 9JUN01 - have flown 15 hrs since, for "career total" 65 hrs... Lovin' it, lovin' it, lovin' it

A few minutes under 40 hours!
Average sortie 25 mins Stik |
Not many these days due other commitments, but my record is over 400 in a year.
Purchased a cheap Rallye, sold it a year later (less 400+ hours) for £500 less than I paid for it. Cheapest flying I've ever done.. PS |
Only 15 hours in 2002, although every second spent in a yellow Piper SuperCub... never mind the length, feel the width, huh?
(sigh) This year's plan is to see what it takes to convert my CAA PPL into a Swiss one. I'll also have to work out where to fly from, seeing as Zürich-Kloten looks far too commercial to be much fun for a rebel like what I am. Ideas, anyone? TW |
108:50, a personal record, although far too little of it was genuine fun flying.
Surely since Switzerland is a JAA member, all you need to do is get your UK PPL converted to a JAA PPL. An IMC rating won't count, because it's UK only, but everything else should. G |
Only 16 I'm afraid. Trying to get the weather, the aircraft, the money and the weekend all to coincide is a major struggle!
7/10 - must try harder next year. |
25hrs 20 mins. A bit poor, but I am at uni after all

Looks like I win the highest score for the lowest hours : a massive 12.5
deerydeerydeery ME ! 2002 will be mucho different I feel. |
A very pleasant 29 hours - made all the better by the entry in the logbook in April 2001 which says "Skills Test Passed". Oh boy, was I happy that day !!
Now just got to improve it and hopefully get an IMC and who knows what else this year .... TZ |
102.1 hours (89.4 helicopter, 12.7 fixed wing).
No wonder I'm broke. Still, I do have a CPL(H), Dawn to Dusk trophy, and lots of nice photos of Ireland and the Paris heli-routes to show for it. |
