I LIKE IT HERE!!!

Although I remember there being a request for the PPL forum I didn't pay much attention. Wandered in today for the first time and I have to say I like it.

With a few exceptions (mention no names, follow my eyes) most people here seem to be reasonably friendly with a good sense of humour.

If I promise not to tell everyone else can I stay?

Fred, (or is it Wilma)

I was tempted to put in a one liner saying "no P%$s off!!!". Well....when someone says what a friendly forum this is one feels one must respond. The Good Captain has been a bit off on one liners recently so I won't.

Seriously, we are all down here because we love flying. We love it so much we PAY to do it and most of the guys down here treat this forum as a flying club bar rather than a briefing room.

Leave the increasing nastyness in the forums that reside above this one.

Flattery will get you everywhere Flintstone - even into the Private Pilots forum!

Don't worry New Bloke. I'd have taken the 'piss off' as intended (it was a joke, right?) :)

OK Flintstone, you can join. Collect your anorak from the back of the door.. and don't trip over the thrown-out Teddys..

Flintstone 10th September 2000 21:20

I want one with the rabbit fur trim round the hood and orange lining.

Beagler 10th September 2000 23:19

Sorry mate, they're only available from "Millets" Stores.

LowNSlow 11th September 2000 18:43

Don't forget to get a hand-knitted scarf and a satchel as well :) :)

You can attach your gloves to a piece of elastic and feed them through the arms so you dont lose them! If you are old enough, we will give you one of those kraut flags to sew on the front!
post coitus maximus bollockum for he's a jolly good fellow.

And exactly what is wrong with having my mittens on string up my sleeves? I'll have you know that my mum lets me keep my door key on a piece of string round my neck too.

(This is why I like this forum. A nice gentle pi$$take with no malice.)

rightstuffer 12th September 2000 18:08

....I've got mittens with a separate first finger... http://www.pprune.org/ubb/NonCGI/tongue.gif http://www.pprune.org/ubb/NonCGI/tongue.gif (yar boo sucks to you!)

Beagler 12th September 2000 23:28

Yeah... but has your mum sewn your name inside your underpants?

Gash Handlin 12th September 2000 23:47

yeah and my vest :)

Flintstone 13th September 2000 01:43

Single finger on your mittens?

That must be so's you can push your NHS tortoiseshell framed glasses with sticking plaster on the bridge back up your nose.
