Cheap circuits
 

Hey folks,

Im just finishing my degree in about a months time and hoping to do some flying in the summer in my home town (Bristol). The problem is I've done just 2 hours since september and really want to get some circuits done first. I dont want to do this at Bristol because of the expense.

Im at Loughborough University (E.Midlands). Does anyone know where I could do some cheap circuits nearby? A small field would be preferable. Tatenhill maybe?

Any ideas apreciated.

Tatenhill is spot on.

They do advertise renting rates in Pilot magazine which look reasonable.

I fly into Tatenhill quite a lot, uncontrolled airspace in circuits, so more flying for your money rather than holding when the 'clocks' ticking (I once had to hold for 25 minutes at East Midlands during my Nav Qual,,,,cost me about £45 whilst I waited for the big boys before I could take off).g

Nice big tarmac runway as well.

Nottingham airport is just up the road at Tollerton. There's Truman Aviation and Sherwood Flying Club.

It's just out of the East Midlands Class D as well. :)
