Permit to Fly
Is a UK issued Permit to Fly OK for operations in France / Europe?
|
No it is a Permit to Fly in the State of Issue; to fly elsewhere it needs the agreement of any other State that you fly in because it is not a recognised International Standard.

Thanks Whopity.

In the real world there is a “1980” agrement allowing free pasage of permit aircraft round europe. You can fly to France in your permit machine just like it was a c of a machine.

Depends what you mean by permit to fly.
1 issued by the LAA or CAA etc for aircraft without a TCDS. Depends where abroad and what restrictions they have. or 2 issued by EASA via the CAA for aircraft with a TCDS but no valid C of A - eg out of check or damaged. An EASA Permit to Fly is valid in all EU Member States, however, national operational requirements remain applicable. |
Basically I am looking for a Vans 6 or 7 on UK register with permit. I live in SW France so would want to fly between France, Channel Isles and UK

But, the arrangements for visiting France in a UK registered PtF aircraft may not apply for keeping it there long term. |

I'd like to ask for advice about buying a MCR, if you have a moment - is there a way for me to PM you?
