Curry
Has anyone got any recommendations for good airfields to fly too that have sensible proximity to exemplary curry eating establishments?
I'm thinking, the strip >450 meters grass or hard, the curry dirty stinking filthy hot vindaloo. Must have garlic naan bread too. Thanks. |
Err, Heathrow? Not too far to Southall?

There's a couple of places in India I could reccommend...

Excellent. Just need to find the nearest airstrips.... If it's LHR then it's possibly going to be the most expensive cuzza ever.

Leeds Bradford. 2250 metres of concrete. Finest curries in the land in Bradford, but bring your wallet for the landing and handling and parking fees....
|
Thanks. I'll need some money after paying my landing fee to cover the mountain of currrrwie required. Maybe a long runway will be required for departure performance reasons...

Nottingham Airport (Tollerton) (EGBN) has an Indian restaurant about 2 minutes walk from the tower called Miahs. Haven't eaten there yet so can't comment on their vindaloo!

TG, don't forget you'll be using a grarse runway.
(Okay, pathetic; I know. Now where did I put my coat........) |
Plenty up here in Yorkshire. Fly to Leeds Bradford and try Aakash in Cleckheaton, largest Indian in the world and very local to me ;)
www.aakashrestaurant.co.uk/ Sherburn in Elmet also has a nice Indian restaurant less than 1.2 mile away from airfield. |

Good Indian !
I agree about the Aakash in Cleckheaton - excellent, both the place and the food.
But Crosland Moor would be a much cheaper option than LBA for the destination. Huddersfield has many good Indian restaurants, the Laxmi at Berry Brow being the nearest to Crosland Moor. (but to be fair, none of 'em are within walking distance !) :ok: |
