I'm having real trouble filling this form in,online or offline.
Can someone please help.
I don't want to fill in hardcopy with my handwriting as it's sometimes illegible to me!

I don't think you can unless you have adobe writer software. It looks a fairly basic form though, so it should be not too difficult to create a new one in your word processing package. e.g MS Word would be able to do this quite easily. As long as you are scrupilous about copying the wording, I guess it should be OK.

I've already got it all in Word, but was hoping to use the CAA form.
When I spoke to them they said it could be done, but as you say,I need writer.

Funny one, that. I have full acrobat v5 and one can fill in the top few lines but the the individual boxes. The Properties show up as 'fillable' so I wonder if somebody has dropped a clanger in generating it?

Thanks IO540,I'm glad it's not just me,I'm not a guru ,but also not totally stupid with PC's and I've tried everything.Even downloading Acrobat writer, said to be free but all of a sudden 29 dollar sign pops up.
This afternoon a dear friend said she would fill it in for me with neat and tidy writing ,what century are we in!:ugh:

Snapshot the PDF and paste into Paint. Fill it in using the print function in the toolbox. Select all, and copy. Open Word and paste. (as a picture). Get Cutepdf, a free download, and convert Word document to a PDF. Easier than it looks, and free. (Assuming you are Microsoft based)

I completed one recently, and it was in handwriting. (Albeit I went to the CAA office in Holborn as I work around the corner and completed in the presence of a staff member) no problems. Not everything has to be computerised - no CAA's regs say so:=

You can use:
PDFescape - Free PDF Editor & PDF Form Filler - Your Free Online PDF Reader, Editor, Form Filler, Form Designer, Solution
to edit any pdf online. Just past the link into their editor and it will bring up the form. Then use pdfescape's text-box to add text to the bits you can't fill in.
