Licence Trouble ??
Hello,
i have the JAR PPL SINGLE ENGINE PISTION licence. TT on SE about 100 hrs TT on Touring Motor Glider 200 hrs now I want to make the ICAO CPL - IR - ME ! My question : Could I write down some of the TMG Hours for the ICAO CPL minium hrs ?? In JAR it is possible but ICAO ? Need some help from the ICAO countries ! :) Thanks |
Well, first of all, a JAR license is an ICAO license - look at the cover page.
The implementation of ICAO Annex 1 varies from country to country, so the only way to know is to check the national flight crew licensing regulations of the country issuing your license. Generally, according to the definitions given in ICAO Annex 1, a TMG is an airplane, so your 200 hours should be valid unless your country's civil aviation authority has a specific limitation on that. |
Anton_K is spot on with:
check the national flight crew licensing regulations of the country issuing your license OC619 |
Thanks for the Info ! Yes the 30 hrs credit for JAR i know. But i am playing with south african icao cpl and to get information about credit (TMG hours) that is not easy :-). Maybe there is some south african crack out there ?
Thanks |
try
Irv Lee Home Page Irvin Lee or Bonus Aviation Limited Both offering 'expertise' is South African matters. How relevant, I know not. |
So talked to the South Africa Civil Authority. TMG is like SEP. :-) . So all hours including TMG are valid !
Thread Closed Thanks |
One thing to watch though, is that anyone wanting to revalidate a SEP class rating using hours flown on a TMG, must have seperate SEP and TMG class ratings on their licence.
I know this isn't exactly what you asked, but there may be a similar clause when counting hours towards a licence upgrade (?). |
