Best VFR communication software?
 

Hi!

My VFR communication has become a bit(A LOT :rolleyes:) rusty and I am looking for some kind of interactiv software that I can use for training my ATC abilitys.
I know that flight sim online is one option, but I was wondering if there is another software out there where I can sit by my self and train what to say and when?
The software should be prefereble for JAR-FCL but any software would do :-)...

I tried the Oxford CD-ROM and didn't find it particularly helpful. It's confusing because the basic module is ICAO and the UK RT is in a supplement which does not have the same degree of interactivity.

Really, RT is not rocket science. Get the free CAA document - it's up to date and has all you need. If you want to be interactive then find a friend or use a tape recorder.

There's also a FSX add-on which is supposed to be voice activated. I forget the name - but avoid at all costs!

Well I am located in Denmark, but is it possibly to lsten to UK atc from the internet as it is from the states?
And if yes, does anyone have any links where to listen to this??

The question has been posed a few times and the short answer is "No". In the UK, the legal outlook for re-broadcasting air-band communication appears to be poor and (I presume) hence its absence from major Internet sites.

There are some spaces on the interweb to listen to live ATC including a few UK frequencies. However like has been said listening in the UK is not strictly legal.

Although I presume once you have your RT licence you are legally allowed to listen at home on a radio scanner.
