Cessna 325?

Hello all.

Just wondering if anyone is able to shed any light on the Cessna 325. All I can find on google is that it's a single engine, 2 seater crop duster.

Does anyone have a picture of one? Tried googling and various sites but can't find anything.

Thanks alot :ok:

Never heard of that model. Cessna did produce the model 305, a civil version of the L-19 Birdog. The dedicated Ag Cessna is model 188

Wikipedia lists the Cessna 325, but no article about it.

FAA shows this:

Serial Number 24001 Type Registration Individual
Manufacturer Name CESSNA Certificate Issue Date 04/10/1979

Model 325 Status Valid

Type Aircraft Fixed Wing Single-Engine Type Engine Reciprocating

Pending Number Change None Dealer No

MFR Year 1955 Fractional Owner NO

I found several hints that the 325 might be a twin, which would make sense to me as other Cessna aircraft with a 3nn type number are also twins.

I did also, however, find several references also to a single including one, a crop duster, which crashed, N1175D, but that is also shown as a Cessna TL-19D .

Couldn't find any pics or drawings or description or specs anywhere.

I suspect N1175D is actually a model 305 and shown as 325 because of a typo. The serial number is in the correct range for a 1955 ish Cessna L-19/305 and it has the same engine. Some were converted for AG use.

Don't believe there is, or was a Cessna model 325

According to Rod Simpsons "General Aviation", four 325s were built, as above a Bird Dog with a 230hp enigne, constant speed prop and a hopper in the rear or the cabin with underwing spray bars.

Interesting, I checked further and Cessna did indeed build 4 each model 325s, single seat ag model of the L-19A. 2 built in 1953 and 2 built in 1956
