Cessna 172

Hey All,

Another Cessna question! Does anyone know where I can get the Cessna 172 P flight operation guide and the pilots manual (I think they are both the same).??

Thanks

Tom

There's this little-known thing called Google... :}

I don't think this list has the POH for the P model, but it's got other information that might interest you.

In my opinion, just as important to study as the flight manual, is the maintenance manual, particularly for an understanding of systems.

The 172 is a dirt simple airplane, but there's still good information to be had from the mx manual.

The site listed here does have a 1959 Cessna 172 manual...not nearly as complete as what you're looking for, but it's something.

The other poster is correct, however...an internet search will help you find what you're after.

Make sure you get hold of the approved flight manual for this particular aircraft (little green sticker). Some aircraft will have a performance "write down" annotated in the manual. It's not unknown to see a MINUS125+ fpm climb rate in some Cessnas.

172 POH

I managed to get hold of a 1978 172N POH by searching through google.

A bit dated but still some good information in there.

Please don't use any of the take-off figures or other performance figures other than from the APPROVED poh for the aircraft you are about to fly. As I said in a previous post many aircraft have a performance write-down for climb and take-off, especially it seems Cessnas.
