An AIC has been produced giving details of the AEF hours of operations and contact details.

It can be found on the from page of the AIS website - NATS | AIS

A pointless AIC which is a knee jerk reaction.

Next thing you know we'll see every airfield, airstrip, and aircraft operator issuing one about what they get up to, when, and where. :ugh: You'll need to be flying a 747 freighter to upload all the CAA documentation produced. And none of it will prevent anything.

No matter where you fly in UK airspace, the chances are that you will encounter other aircraft. There will be plenty more that you don't see as well. The danger with this type of 'PC' 'Elf'n'Safety' document is that it leads pilots to expect to only see AEF aircraft in certain areas or height bands, which is creating a false expectation. There are also numerous other aircraft operating in the same airspace, quite legitimately, and unannounced or publicised.

Waste of time and effort, but no doubt will get someone a tick in the box for 'arse covering'

And there was me thinking VFR meant see and avoid!

Where is the AIC entry for "other aeroplanes at Hengistbury Head VRP" or "In the Solent below 2000"...etc.....

My I respectfully suggest that AFE flights only conduct aerobatic overhead their own field from the top of the ATZ to 5000 and then notam the days they will be doing Aeros.
