Cheshire Microlights
Hi,
Just found a school called Cheshire Microlights that are based at a farm strip about 5 mins away from me. How do i find out if the strip will accept class a aircraft? I presume the strip is licenced as they are advertising it and making no effort to keep it a secret. Its in Arclid, cheshire matt |

Looks like you lift the phone and talk to John. For further information, please call John Bradbury on 01270 764713. |
Considering it has been there for well over 15 years, I commend you on your powers of observation!
Cheshire Microlights Unlicensed. Forget how long the present runway is, as it can be moved to fit in with crop rotations, but a guess at just over 450m. |
Ive flown there.
Group A aircraft have operated there in the past. Must be capable of short field performance though. Although listed as 450m, obstacles at both ends greatly reduce distance available. What type would you be considering flying in with? If you keep phoning, eventually, you will get hold of John. He's a busy chap! |
Microlight training fields do not need to be licenced but I believe there are recommendations they comply with.
