" Cnl " ???????
Hi
I have just looked at the TAF for Coventry what dos " CNL " mean ??????? COVENTRY EGBE 090302Z 0903/0912 CNL Thks for your help. |
Cancelled .
|
(i.e., to expand a bit,
The previously issued TAF for the period in question (9th from 0300 to 1200) is cancelled; usually because the weather is changing and the previous TAF might now be misleading. Tim) |
Also another reason for cancelling (according to the Met Office!) might be if a current METAR has not been received by the Met office from a particular airport for more than an hour.

We live and learn. I'd never heard of it.
Is it an ICAO thing, or predominantly UK? (off to Google the answer) |
Right now Kärdla in Estonia (EEKA) has a TAF which has been cancelled:
111700Z 1114/1120 CNL= So it appears it is used outside of the UK as well. |
Right, today the Taf has been canceled in Lell
Code:
long-TAF: LELL 271743Z 2715/2815 CNL |
First time seen also in Switzerland
LSZS 071954Z 0719/0724 CNL=
|
At least CNL is more self-evident than QTA...
