For adventurous pilots

Is there anybody on here want to join a really long flight?
Around the world.

To include 3 days at Oshkosh and to cross Siberia and the Altantic.

Escorted organised trip.

Sounds fun to me.

JEM60 28th December 2008 13:10

3 days at Oshkosh is not enough. Going for eight as usual. Have a good trip!!

What JEM60 said.

What are you going to be flying in anyway?

Janie Chipmunk

I believe the only previous flight on a vaguely similar route was by a pair of Chipmunks!!

But they won't do this time!!

I really don't get this. Is this one of those gift horses we should not look at in the mouth?:* If not, then count me in :ok:

Ohterwise, some further information would be greatly appreciated.

overandout 28th December 2008 22:55

Justiciar,

No gift and no horse.
Nothing to be so suspicious about.
Further info
depart early july , all hotels etc seem to be already booked and AVGAS secured.

and loads of dosh
I knew there was a catch:(

How do you know about my "little plane"? Size isn't everything, you know.

an adventure

If anyone is interested in something a little less spectacular than a world trip - I'm interested in doing a return trip to South Africa - internal politics permitting from the UK in 2009.

More aircraft would make it more interesting!

LH2 30th December 2008 12:01

What about some publically available information on your trip plan(s)? Either here or on a blog/website.

Information on your current stage of planning, logistics, any arrangements you have made or intend to make, costs, visa and overflight requirements, insurance, maintenance, etc., etc., etc. would probably go a long way to get more people interested.

I imagine there must be a critical number of people and aeroplanes which gives the most cost-efficient solution. Too few people and airframes and the individual costs skyrocket. Too many and the logistics become even more of a nightmare.

Agree entirely,

1. FAI approved
2.Fuel available
3. 8 aircraft already signed up. We need min 10 max 15
4.Costs identified and published
5.I am too stupid to learn how to copy and paste the full details onto here!!!
6. I can email it all to anyone who wants it
7 perhaps 'JUSTICIAR' can put it onto here as I have sent it to him?
8. Therefore do please PM me with your email address and you shall have it.
9. The organiser is very experienced having been round the world before and organised the Salzburg- Cape Town in 2007
