Hi, Being idol I really cant troll through LASORS anyone here know the min currency for PPL A. HAve not flown in a while and would appreciate any ones knowledge on what I have to do to be current day vfr.

Flying on your own there are no legal requirements for currency. Just jump in and go.

Plus I think it's 3 takeoffs/landings in the past 90 days before carrying passengers.

yeap as said above no problems with just jumping in and going providing no pax. minimum of 3 full stop landings before yoa can take them. saying that however if your flying with a flying club they may have restrictions. the place i fly from has a currency of 45 days under 150 hours and 62 days above.

For goodness sake...

Touch/Go's are fine. 3 quick circuits, bundle the Mrs in and off you go. Just ask LASORS. As has been mentioned, if you want to fly by yourself the only currency requirement is that you hold a valid license with a suitable class rating. A school/club won't wear that though - they'll almost certainly want a checkout.

It looks to me like it's all still correct with the exception of the Class II medical validity (which has been relaxed a little for certain age groups).

My group has a 6 week rule < 100 hrs P1 and 8 weeks otherwise. I believe it's an insurance stipulation? But I've never looked into it because after 6/8 weeks, I feel that a couple of hours with an instructor is no bad thing. But if that's right, it might also explain the position of various clubs.
