Fuel available 24/7 at Sywell
Fuel is now re-available 24/7 at the pumps at Sywell. The previous system had broken down and could not be fixed. A new system has been installed that will enable you to fill up out of hours using your Debit/Credit Card.
I hear that work could be starting on the new runway in July! |
That's good news windy, particularly as Mogas is available :D
Incidently, do you have any idea how Sywell ensure their Mogas is bioethanol free? (assuming they do of course!) |
WINDY
do they have jet a1 and do they charge landing fees after hours ? |
24/7 bloody hell, that's expensive. I hope that's per gallon.

MD600 - Although I haven't used the 24/7 debit card facility at Sywell (I get my 100LL from Sloanes), I'd have thought that it would only be 100LL/MoGas available 24/7 as the Jet A1 is some way away from the "main" pumps!
|
I have checked with Sywell and I have been informed that the mogas does contain bioethanol (less than 1%) apparently all imported Mogas has to have it added. Price of 100LL is £1.62 Mogas is £1.25. both of these are available 24/7.

Its just normal unleaded petrol the kind that you can buy at any garage forecourt, and a lot cheaper than avgas
|
With respect rossi1, there is no such thing as "normal" when it comes to unleaded gasoline sold in garages. The only thing you can be (reasonably) sure of is that it complies with the specifications of EN228. That gives you no guarantees whatsoever regarding the presence (or otherwise) of bioethanol.
