If you try to use the word P R O O N in a post, it will be automagically replaced by asterisks. And yet the word Prune is unaltered.

Why's that then ?

I tried typing 'Arsenal' on another forum and it came out as ****.

Don't try Scunthorpe, it'll get you banned...

I think mentioning the airline M a c a i r gets censored, too, for some reason.

Because p r o o n is a spoof site?

I've attempted to write language censoring software lots of times, and it's such an imprecise sciene you end up with all sorts of strange outcomes.

I think people in QA love typing in rude words since you invariably get lots of bugs back on it.

Bug - Must Fix
User able to enter "Satan's flaps" into dialogue

Bug - Must Fix
"Dick Van Dyke" is censored in dialogue

etc etc
