Motala, Sweden
 

I am planning to visit Motala in June 2008 for the Vatternrundan.
I would be grateful for any advice from local pilots re: the best airport option - I need 800m tarmac minimum.

Linköping SAAB (ESSL) would be a good choice. It is the closest hard runway (2100m), at 55 km from Motala. It is a GA-friendly airport with one of the largest and most active flying clubs in the country. There is a bus connection from Linköping to Motala if needed.

Perhaps you've already been in Sweden a dozen times and know all about flying here... But if not, maybe you'll find these links to be of some use... :)
