Taking Passengers

A colleague of mine, from Australia, was claiming he could take passengers on circuits and training, solo, after he had flown his first solo flight.

That sounds incredible, I guess here in the UK you MUST have a full PPL to take a passenger on board ?

tell him look at his licence conditions and to say it to his instructor and to stand well back..

he may have a very short career in aviation if he does this.:ugh: .

what is a solo licence all about...carry ANYONE is not permitted ( other than instructor, examiner...)

There is an initial stage of licensing in Oz - GFPT which allows a student to take passengers for solo flights within a defined training area, and to receive instruction outside the training area with passengers on board.
Solo flights are still only permitted under the direct supervision of an instructor though.
