Hi I have just submit my first post on this forum but it does now seem to have appeared up for anyone to see, could anyone tell me the reason for this?

I presume you mean that it "hasn't" appeared? If this is the case, then the first 3 posts of newly registered members are now checked by Admin before they 'go-live'.

I suspect there is a small delay for "probationary" Ppruners - so that their first few posts or so can be filtered by "the censors".

There is an excellent aspirant’s forum that will cover aspects of your original questions. Do use the search function as well. It is very good.
