Definition of Pilot in Command
could anybody tell me where, and which order in the ANO that it states
something like "pilot in command of aircraft is directly responsibly for, and is the final authority as to, the operation of that aircraft" Have been looking on CAA website, but find it really difficult to navigate it to find the answer Thanks |
Definition of PiC is contained in article 155 - Interpretation
‘Pilot in command’ in relation to an aircraft means a person who for the time being is in charge of the piloting of the aircraft without being under the direction of any other pilot in the aircraft; |
You're possibly thinking of Article 77 of the ANO 2005:
Every person in an aircraft shall obey all lawful commands which the commander of that aircraft may give for the purpose of securing the safety of the aircraft and of persons or property carried therein, or the safety, efficiency or regularity of air navigation. |
