Strolling down the runway with my dog last night I couldn't help but notice a line of newly-planted shrubs along what used to be the 'glider strip'.

Woss goin' on there then?

If the strolling was inside the aerodrome and without the permission of the Aerodrome Manager, an admission that you have contravened Rules of the Air Regulations 1996, Rule 36, and thereby making you liable to prosecution and a fine not exceeding £5000!

So sue me!

That said, it was dark, raining quite hard and blowing quite a bit too. As the aerodrome closes at sunset + 30mins I felt I was reasonably safe in my stroll and not endangering an aircraft or its occupants. One wouldn't want to be the subject of an MOR.

So, apart from the legal implications of my nocturnal stroll, does anyone know what's happening at Old Sarum. I'd much rather walk on a licensed airfield, after hours, illegally, than a housing estate built on a disused one.
