Syndicates for Dummies

Are there any books or websites that describe 'best practice' in setting up and running a GA syndicate ?

I found "Owning and Operating your own Aircraft" by Rod Simpson a very useful book. It covers both sole and group ownership.

I quite fancy the idea of a Yak-12, possibly graduating to a Yak-18 or An-2 in a few year's time.

The initial outlay for an airframe is low for ex-Soviet aircraft, it seems, but once you add the refurbishment costs all up it's probably more than I can afford solely from my own resources, hence the RFI on syndicates.

The costs of buying an aircraft is the easy bit!

The bit you really need to consider is the ongoing costs! That's the bit that is really scary!
