New Year Resolutions

Have any?

I have two:

1. Check NOTAMs before EVERY flight
2. Ignore "Aircraft Down Over ****" threads. Thye get my blood pressure up so I will choose not to read them...;)

1) Start and finish Instrument Rating

2) Fly abroad

3) Spend less time on PPRuNe. I'm sure it's not healthy.

:ok:

At least 100hrs in 2006, and get my type score into three figures, preferably with the 100th being something particularly interesting - just because!

gain fATPL with decent marks in exams and flying tests, finding a job will be next years resolution, but if I find time this year I'll give that a go too :E

Nice! Somehow a 100 types sounds much better than 1000 hours (don't tell me, you have both!) :ok:

No comment :p

Incidentally, I once asked the legendary (but still very much with us) Darrol Stinton if he'd be my referee for membership of the Society of Experimental Test Pilots. He said he'd be delighted, but unfortunatately wasn't a member himself.

I asked out of curiosity why he'd never decided to join, his response: "well, you've seen the membership form - they want to know how many types you've flown; I stopped counting at 300 and that was years ago".

There's always somebody who'se done more than you'll ever manage!

In the meantime, on 96 - 96th was a Tanarg, 95th a Stinson S108-2, 94th a Quik GT450, 93rd a rather cute Piper Pacer lookalike called a Eurofox. Any suggestions for an appropriate 100th gratefully considered.
