Buzz Ups

Just wondering how many of us here admit to doing buzz ups?
Anyone got any interesting stories:ok:

Yorks.ppl 12th December 2005 13:59

Sorry, what are buzz ups?

Sans Anoraque 12th December 2005 14:09

UPS buzzed me when they delivered my parcel this morning.

dublinpilot 12th December 2005 14:42

What Yorks.ppl said! :ugh:

High Wing Drifter 12th December 2005 14:43

The nearest I've seen is someone practicing asymetric go arounds, couldn't hold it and went straight over the 'live' side of the airfield at about 100'. Ooo! You should 'ave 'eard the R/T exchange that followed!

Shaggy Sheep Driver 12th December 2005 16:31

Buzz-up. Is that when a wasp flies up your nose??

I suppose the blades flying around the place would do your hair-trimming a treat!

Shaggy Sheep Driver 12th December 2005 19:37

Hey, AB, you're not old enough to remember that sort of Wasp. ;)

mazzy1026 12th December 2005 19:58

This is becoming more and more like a JB thread :=

AerBabe 12th December 2005 20:31

SSD - I don't need to be old when there's a swarm of them at my place of work. :hmm:

I guess the answer to that one would be no.

foxmoth 13th December 2005 08:05

I guess the answer to that one would be no.
Especially as no one really knows what Ronnie is talking about - must be an Irish term!
(I presume he means low flypasts of the airfield/tower/flying club);)

DubTrub 13th December 2005 08:46

Perhaps if Ronnie can't be bothered to come back & explain his term, then he wouldn't be interested in reading this accident report from the USA

dublinpilot 13th December 2005 09:06

Don't think it's an Irish term. Or if it is, I haven't been informed of it!

Farmer 1 13th December 2005 09:13

Dublinpilot - irony.

dublinpilot 13th December 2005 11:00

I know farmer 1.

Just playing along

Farmer 1 13th December 2005 11:07

Fell for it again, didn't I? Or was it you last time? Memory like a, er...

No, but I had a really nice email from 'Paypal' asking for my account details today.

stue 13th December 2005 15:49

off thread i know but....

Kolibear,

i got one of thoes emails yesterday. just ignored it, i dont think that its a "ligit" email. if you know otherwise, let us know! ta!:)

As for buzz ups, what the fek is a buzz up??

ronnie3585 13th December 2005 18:37

By buzz ups I meant what foxmouth alluded to; low flypasts... all within the boundaries of safety, of course. I presumed (foolishly) that it was a common enough term within flying circles, I was wrong. For that I am eternaly sorry:D

DubTrub the reason I didnt "bother" to reply is that im currently in the middle of my exams and I have not had access to a computer for quite a while. I didnt realise my lack of a speedy response would get so much sand in your vagina. Again I apoligise profusely and hope that some day you can come to terms with the grief.
