PPL Question
What is the lowest age in the UK for a person to undertake dual flight in a light aircraft with an instructor.
Also What age do you have to be until you can undertake a SOLO flight, without the instructor.. What is the minermal age of a person to take sole charge of an light aircraft. Thank you, |
I think you can fly dual from any age when you can operate the controls, see over the panel etc.
You can go solo on your 16th birthday subject to being ready for it,and you can have ppl license issue on 17th birthday. Its the same for helicopters. Hope this helps:ok: |

In Lasors you will find...
You can begin undertaking training towards the issue of a PPL at age 14. You cannot go solo until you are aged 16 and hold a valid medical certificate (minimum class 2 standard). You cannot take a skills test until age 17. However, in theory you can go up for a lesson or experience flight with an instructor at any age. But the time is unloggable and therefore cannot count towards the isssue of a licence. All you really need to be is tall enough to reach the pedals! best regards |
